The countdown is on! Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) ends on December 7, and time is running out to review your plan and make changes.
If you haven’t scheduled your Medicare review yet, here’s why it’s so important to act now:
Why You Should Review Your Plan
Even in you’re happy with your current plan, changes in benefits, costs, or provider networks could affect your coverage in 2026. Many people are surprised in Janurary to find their premiums have gone up, their prescriptions are more expensive, or their doctor is no longer covered.
A quick review before the deadline can prevent unpleasant surprises later.
What You Can Do During AEP
Between now and December 7, you can:
- Switch Medicare Advantage Plans if your current plan isn’t the best fit
- Review or change your Prescription Drug Plan to make sure you’re medications are covered affordably.
- Return to Original Medicare if you’re not satisfied with an Advantage Plan.
After the deadline, you may be locked into your plan until next year, so don’t wait.
